  1. I read Rex Morgan daily, have my entire life, and I used to like Dick Tracy but got out of the habit of reading when the paper dropped it and never took it back up online. Joe Staton is one of my favorite artists, however, so I peek in occasionally since he took over. I also occasionally read Mandrake and the Spider-Man strip but mostly on a “when I think of it” basis.

Seriously, Mike, that is how I feel commenting on ComicMix and occasionally having the STARS that I admire sometimes respond. It makes the “fanboy” inside me jump for joy. That is one of the true blessings of the Internet.

  3. Steve Chaput says:

Had the opportunity to chat briefly with Stan and Lynda at a con in the ’90s and get copies of his two part Pardners graphic novel. A very nice couple and I’ve reread the books several time, just for the art and little touches that Stan puts into the pages.

Thanks for sharing your own experience.

  4. I feel that way every day, Mike. Concerning and considering comics… I’m an eternal optimist. Comic sales decline, and not for lack of quality in my opinion. But I think the internet and comics are still working out their relationship. Much how music did in the 90’s. As tablets become the norm, so too, will digital comics. And I can only hope in 5, 10, or 20 years, I’m still peddling my wares to those seeking good fiction… and beards.
